First Smiles

Gabby turned six weeks old today!  She is an absolute doll, though high maintenance at time.  She loves to be held and wants to be swaddled alot.  In order to get things done around the house, I wear a baby sling or the baby bijorn.  She loves the sling because it keeps her snuggled really tight and cosy.  Gabby weighs a little less than 9 lbs and is approximately 21 inches long.  Her 2 month appointment is on March 15.  She is still too small for 0-3 clothes due to her short stature, therefore we have to roll up the sleeves and the legs.

I was able to catch her first smiles on camera today.  She started smiling yesterday in response to talking to her and I go the camera out to capture them.

This is to show her small size.  I love this outfit so much

Ohhhh What is that I see?  Mommy??
We are starting to get there, out comes the tongue.
Open wide and smile.

The final pretty smile of hers!!! I love it
Ten minutes later this is what we got.  Her pouty cry. Look at how her bottom lip turns down!!

Lunch at Pre-K

Last week Rick and I went to go have lunch with Natalie at her preschool.  We got to sit at the little bitty tables and participate in the routine of lunch. Natalie absolutely loves us to go to lunch with her so we go at least once a month.  Here are some pictures of Natalie and her friends before lunch!  Natalie is extremely photogenic!

One Month of Life

Its has been one month since Gabby entered the world, and what a month it has been.  I am loving every minute with this cute little baby though at times she is quite the handful.  Gabby is high maintenance and loves to be held all the time.  She now nurses like a champ, though we had some bumps in the road to begin with.

Gabby is still struggling with Thrush, though it is almost gone. After a couple weeks with Gentian Violet, we moved on to Nystatin.  It seems to be doing the trick.  However, I managed to get thrush, and trust me it is not very pleasant.  We are persevering and pushing through the pain just so she is not on formula. Her little stomach has not taken extremely well to it as of yet.

Gabby is approximately 8lbs and still has the dark dark blue eyes.  We have no idea what color they will be when all is said and done.

YAY!!! They managed to keep me alive for one whole month!!
Pensive little girl.
Green is not my color
but Pink sure is
Yo yo, check out my kicks
Big sister sure loves me, and I sure love her old clothes

Rock Band

Rock Band...  Is there much more to say other than we enjoyed a good night of Rock Band with our friends Amy and Jeff this past Sunday.  Our families did a pot luck dinner at their house, and afterwards we entertained ourselves with Rock Band. This game is very fitting for little Natalie because she loves to sing, dance and perform for anyone who will pay attention.  We let her belt her little heart out.  I think I have a future star on my hands.

Pointing to the audience.
Taylor Swift anyone?
Here is the sexy drummer.
Gabby and I are the crowd screaming and hollering for an encore.

Sweetheart's Dance

Friday, the FRG for the 602nd Battalion had a Sweetheart's Dance. In stead of attending the Dance, Rick and I had our own sweethearts dance at home.  With Gabby nursing, it is hard to get away, and we are not apt to just let anybody watch her right now.  However, Rick and I managed to have a wonderful evening kids in tow.

Sweet baby feet
We have learned that Gabby likes to sleep on her tummy and on my chest.
He loves her so much.
After dancing with me and Gabby, Rick tackles dancing with Natalie. That usually involves much more work and energy
Gabby was dancing with me. I tossed her over my shoulder to help her tummy.

Yellow Belt and Gabby

One of the positive aspects of living in Korea, is that it Korea is the homeland of TaeKwonDo.  Natalie is able to take Taekwondo from a local Korean in his studio.  He teaches little children in the afternoons on M/W/F.  For $65.00 a month Natalie attends Taekwondo three times a week. She started in the end of November first of December, and just last week she tested for  Junior YellowBelt.  She past her test with flying colors and even broke the board with her hand.  Congratulations Natalie.

My Girls

Natalie is truly loving having a baby sister in the house.  When we told her she was going to be a sister, she was adamant that the baby was going to be a girl because she DID NOT want a brother.  Good thing she got her wish, because she has been the best big sister ever.  Natty is extremely helpful.  She runs to get the diapers, gets her clothes, helps burp her, sings to her etc.  The list goes on and on.  She is a little mommy.  I have snapped some cute pictures of the girls over the last week.  Its so fun to see how caring Natalie is.  I absolutely love Natalie and her sweet sweet personality.
