First Slumber Party

These pics are from march, but you can tell how much the girls love each other

This past Saturday, Natalie had her first sleep over with her friend Georgia.  I have known Georgia's Mommy, Christine, since law school.  We were both pregnant with our daughters at the same time.  Natalie was born in January and Georgia the end of June on her Mother's 25th birthday.  Natalie and GG (as we all call her) get along famously.  They love to play dress up, chat, sing, dance, color. You name it, they do it together.  GG has a little brother Sam, who Natalie things is the best thing since sliced cheese, and as a result I keep getting asked for a brother. (Sorry kiddo, that won't be happening anytime in the distant future).  I dropped her off at 4:30 saturday afternoon, where they had dinner and an afternoon full of laughs.  I went home to rest since I had a kidney infection that pretty much took the wind out of my sails.  They were in bed by 8:00 pm but didn't fall asleep until 9:15 p.m.  Rick and I picked her up Sunday Morning on our way to church. Both girls were grins and giggle and Christine and her husband, Peter informed me that the girls had a blast.

I am thankful that I have wonderful friends like Christine and Peter, and that my daughter has a wonderful friend in GG.

I will post pictures when I get them. Until then...

Soccer goal or Fort?

Natalie was given a soccer goal so she could practice her skills and we could teach her her uncles favorite game.  However, Natalie had better ideas for the goal.  She thought it would be great to put it on a bed and make a fort out of it.  Definitely a great idea!  Here is the princess in her Goal/Fort!

She loves hiding behind pillows. See posts below for other pictures of Natalie hiding in pillows.
Getting Ready for a swim. Never feed Natalie Swedish Fish. Its like Crack or Red Bull for Kids. She was bouncing off the walls for hours after eating those little red candies.  It was entertainment that is for sure, but after a while all the hyperactivity was a little annoying.
What a fun little kids pool with all Natalie's favorite animals. Elephants and Frogs.

Lounging on her lobster float!

The Circus take 2

Starlilly

My cow, Mystic, has finally had a little girl!  For the last 5 years she has thrown nothing but males.  I have an agreement with my father that I keep the girls and he can sell the bulls and keep the money towards the care of Mystic, but I have not been fortunate enough to have any females.  However, my luck changed yesterday when Mystic had her first girl!  She is beautiful and has a big beefy rear, just what we want to see in our herd!  I have named her Starlilly due to the celestial sound.

A week at MomMom and DadDad's House

Once again, Natalie spent a week with her grandparents.  Her Montessori School was closed this past week and I am fortunate enough to have parents who will take her in a heartbeat.  I packed Natty up on Thursday and handed her off to my mom where she just enjoyed the best week of her little life. Natty loves nothing more than to be at the "country house" as she calls it relaxing, playing and feeding the animals.  MomMom took her to see the bats at the Congress Avenue bridge as well as Inner Space Caverns where she could get some educational adventures.

Enjoy the pictures!

With her cousin Ian.  She loves him to death.
Her ritual of collecting the Chicken eggs.  She loves eating them too!

Texas Rangers vs. New York Yankees

Natalie had the opportunity to attend her first Texas Rangers game. Considering I don't follow baseball, I didn't really care who won, all I knew was A Rod was a New York Yankee. Natalie ended up cheering for the Yankees and well they won the game, so in her mind that is all that matters.

We had some wonderful people around us and Natalie didn't want for attention. Several men doted on her and bought the princess whatever she wanted. I think she got a hot dog, cotton candy, peanuts, funnel cake and all the water her little heart could want. She was definitely the center of attention. I don't know how she does it, but she can always make everyone focus on her. Such a sweet little girl. Enjoy the few pictures I got.

The Stadium
A ball park hot dog! The best hot dog ever!

Nighttime view of the stadium.  They shoot fireworks when someone hits a homerun. Natalie thought that was the best part.

Cotton Candy girl.  She managed to move several seats and even gave her "Color" to the man next to her.

How I love my MAC

I recently gave into media pressure and my own selfish desire to have a "cool" computer and purchased an Apple MacBook. I am IN LOVE!! Who says you need a relationship? I have everything I need and want right here in front of me. A white Apple MacBook. Its the best computer I have ever purchased, and I am having so much fun working with it. Even better, I run parallels and I can utilize the software from Windows that is just not compatible with Mac. I couldn't be any happier with my purchase, and now I can begin all the fun work with photos and movies. My creative side is going to explode! :)

I changed the website picture. How many people think Natalie and I resemble each other?

More from the Concert

The loud music didn't keep her up! :)

First Concert

Natalie went to her first Concert last night. She and I went and saw Julianne Hough, Chuck Wicks, Jewel and Brad Paisley live at the Superpages.com center in Dallas.  Natalie loves Chuck Wicks and I thought this might be a fun mother daughter experience. She and I loaded up and enjoyed lawn seats in the 105 degree Texas heat.  That made for a rather hot evening, but the music was great. Natalie got to meet Chuck Wicks before and after the concert, but Mommy didn't get any pictures of that.

I thought it was time for my blog to have a new look!  I found a cool website where you can customize and find looks for good ole blogger.  Its amazing.

I will be posting new pictures of Natalie this evening so bear with me, and I will be writing an in depth update.

Have a great friday!
