33 Weeks Preggo

I went to the OB for my appointment this week. Yes, I know I am 33 weeks and that is not a typical appointment, but I have been blessed with the opportunity to see the OB weekly.  Thats right. I get weekly appointments from here on out.  I think I might feel like a lab rat before this baby is born. The reason for the weekly appointments is due to several factors.  One being the fact that Natalie was born at 35 weeks, and apparently that places me at a greater risk for another early labor.  The second reason is that last week I had already started dilating and was 25% effaced.  Finally, they are still monitoring her kidneys so better be safe than sorry. Normally, I would be upset, but considering the medical care in Korea is not the greatest I am actually shocked and surprised that they are monitoring her so closely.

I have another appointment on the 8th of December and an Ultrasound on the 9th. They are going to check her kidneys, my cervix and make sure she is growing correctly. I think this little girl is going to be small!  I was way bigger with Natalie.

For all of you who want to see pictures, scroll down and look at the picture of me at 30 weeks. I look exactly the same.  Thats right, I have not grown or changed at all. She is still measuring about 30 weeks, so no big change to report. I will have Rick take a picture as soon as I get batteries in my camera!

Thanksgiving

Pictures of Thanksgiving are soon to come!  We didn't take many this year as I forgot to put batteries in the camera! Go Figure!

Breaking Boards

Natalie broke her first board in Tae Kwon Do tonight. We are so proud of her. She hit the board with the palm of her hand and it snapped in half!  Way to go Natalie. This is only her third week and she is doing amazing. Her teacher told us that she is picking it up really fast.  She should test for Yellow Belt in January or February!

Way to go Little Girl!!

Taekwondo

Soccer is over in our family, so we enrolled Natalie in TAEKWONDO. She goes 3 days a week, and absolutely loves it. This is her first week, but she has so much fun there. With the amount of training she is getting, the instructor informed us that she could be a black belt by the age of 6. That is amazing to me!

Practicing Kicks. She loves doing kicks
Daisy and Natalie. The two newest in the class, so Grand Master Kim is working with them together. Daisy and Natalie are in Pre-K together and are good little friends.

The Drama Queen

Having a little girl is bound to bring fits of drama to any house; however, Natalie is one exceptionally dramatic little girl. She is quite the actress and has even asked to be on T.V. I am often blessed with dramatic tantrums, fake tears and a myriad of other spectacles. Today was one such day for the little drama queen. After being allowed to go to a little girls party, her father and I decided it was time for her to leave. She had been there for quite some time, and we had some other plans. I go to retrieve the darling and am able to get her out of the party without incident. Upon leaving the party the tears began. She had realized that she was leaving the party and thus began the drama. Kicking and crying we led her to the car. Once in the car this is what we got:

"This is the worst day of my whole life." At this point I am laughing hysterically into my jacket and her father is smiling.

"This is the worst day of my whole life and I am upset with you and you!" As she points her finger at me and her father. He continues to tell her that its not the end of the world and all I can do it laugh. This continues on for another five minutes until we get to our destination.

Now the second act begins. Natalie finds out she is going to get a shot. I bravely go first showing her its going to be okay. Rick sits down, Natalie in his lap. She is already crying. She hasn't even been touched and her face is bright red with tears erupting like hot lava from a volcano. I manage to get her arm out of her shirt while she is thrashing about like an epileptic having a seizure. Finally, with the help of a nurse Rick, the nurse and myself restrain a thrashing four year old whose strength is unheard of. A second nurse jabs the little tyke in her arm. Natalie gets a sucker and the crying lasts another 10 minutes or so. I can't say its easy giving her shots. Rick is now the designated parent when it comes to Natalie's immunizations. Too bad he has to go back with her next month as she receives her Hepatitis vaccine.

All the while she repeats "This is the worst day of my whole life!"

Yup, thats right. The worst day in her whole 4 years of life! I am so glad she can express her feelings and emotions, but if this is a peek into the next several years of life. I can't wait for the teenage years!
