Jacksonville, FL -
Pretty girl by the sea

On the way home from Disney we stopped in at a beach in Jacksonville. It was too cold to really swim, but Natalie and Rick had fun running to the edge of the water and back. Natalie also enjoyed the sand and collecting sea shells. We got enough to fill up a vase for decorations

Epcot - Day Two
Welcome to Day 2! Epcot! We arrived when the park opened, thanks to Mommy waking up early and getting everyone moving! We were greeted with Chip and Dale. Natalie seized the opportunity to take a picture with them since our Magic Kingdom experience only let Natalie meet the Fairy Godmother. After seeing Chip and Dale, we passed a place where all the Disney Characters were. She got her picture with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald and Goofy.
After all that excitement, we met up with some friends of ours from South Carolina who also happened to go to Disney with their four year old son Jackson. The six of us ate lunch with the Princesses. The kiddos got to eat with Belle, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, and CINDERELLA!
I think this was her favorite part of the day!

Natalie's 4 year check up
Natalie went for her 4 year check up today, and this was my first experience with a army hospital. Needless to say it was quite the experience.
Natalie weighed in at 38 1/2 pounds that is between the 50th and 70th percentile for her age.
She was 41 3/4 inches tall coming in between the 75th and 95th percentile for height! She is quite tall for her age.
She received three shots in her little legs, and it was harder to see her get shots now than it was when she was a baby. She cried for a little bit, but came through like a trooper.
The doctor noticed that she has a problem with "ch" sounds. She tends to make it sound more like a sh, I don't think its a problem, but she told us we have to watch it. Go figure. Natalie was way more advanced for her age, coming in at an average 6 year old with the exception of her ch issue. We shall see.

Tender Moments
My amazing Grandmother Grace Mary Thomas passed away in late 2008. She was an amazing woman and I have the pleasure of sharing her name. I found this picture of her and my grandfather, Lloyd Hockey Thomas during her stay in the hospital. I think this is a true tender moment captured. You can truly see and feel the love and tenderness from this picture. I just had to share this moment.
