Sea World

Sea World, San Antonio:

We took Natalie to Sea World for the first time this weekend.  She had an absolute blast.  Here are a few pictures to start.  They aren't in order as Blogger messed up, but I will sort them out later.

Putt-Putt and Sea World

Sorry for the delay in posts. Things have been busy as usual.  Unfortunately, I have no pictures to show, but after this weekend there will be plenty.

Lately, I have been busy just with life and I forget to take the camera to the park, or putt-putt.  Thats right the other night we took Natalie for her first trip to PUTT-PUTT.  We rode the go karts (thats right kids, Natalie is 40 in tall and able to ride as a passenger), bumper boats, and finally wound up playing putt putt.  Natalie is a rock star and beat both Rick and I.  It was amazing.  She had a blas t and has asked to go back.

Now on to bigger news, I GOT A NEW JOB! Thats right, I will be moving companies for a better job opportunity for my little family. I am extremely excited and looking forward to the new challenge.  Also, I will be working with friends from law school and that makes things even nicer.

This weekend, we are going to SEA WORLD and to eat lunch with MomMom  and DAD DAD, so look for the pictures on Sunday Night.

Also, my grandmother (grammie) is ill. Please pray for her recovery and keep her safe.

Hurricane's and Softball

Well its been a while since I updated the post last.  As of last post we enjoyed labor day weekend. Natalie went to spend it with her grandparents and I went out of town for a little weekend getaway.  It was really great and I enjoyed myself tremendously.  It was great to have an adult weekend away from Austin or Fort Worth.

This past weekend, Hurricane Ike rocked the shores of Galveston and the Houston, Texas area.  As a result our trip to Austin was postponed. I didn't want to face the mass of people evacuating and then get caught up in the possible rain storms. As a result Natalie and I stayed behind in Fort Worth.

Grapefest, the annual wine event in Grapevine, Texas, was going on and I thought Friday night would be a great time to let Natalie ride some rides.  In case you all forgot, back in May, I posted about Grapevine Main Street Days, well this was the same just add a lot of wine! :)  We only spent a little while there, but I did get some cute pictures.

Saturday, Natalie had a spend the night Hurricane Party with my good friend Mindy and her daughter Kylie.  They really enjoyed themselves and when I picked Natalie up Sunday morning on the way to church she was grins and giggles.  And where was I while Natalie partied hurricane style?  I was watching a football game on T.V.   I didn't do anything exciting, but just relaxed.

Sunday, we were off to church at Fellowship Church.  (www.fellowshipchurch.com) They have an absolute wonderful childrens program.  Natalie really enjoys going to the sunday school.  After church we went and had lunch, watched some TV, cleaned some, and then we made Enchiladas for dinner. Mindy and her daughter, Kylie, came over to eat with us and after dinner we played Softball, soccer, football and catch phrase. The highlight for the little girls was the outdoor play, for us adults it was catch phrase.  And NO, I did not cheat!!!!

Dogsitting Leo.  Natalie and Leo were playing under the table.
Kylie is up!! She hit a home run
Mindy teaching the girls how not to run the bases.  Neither girl was running the bases instead they were running the middle of the grass.
Natty's turn to bat! Looks like Kylie is Cheering her on with some jumps!!
Bounce house girl!
Riding the helicopter.  Don't mind the messy hair she kept pulling the pony tail out.

Natalie and Ian

Auntie and Baby Ian came to our house, Friday, August 29, and spent the night with us. Auntie was on her way to pick up Yay-Yay from the Airport for a couple of days and they came up a day early and Natalie got to have lunch with Ian before going to her Mom-Mom's for Labor Day weekend.  Here are some cute pictures that I took of the beautiful kiddos together.  So, these are for you MomMom and DadDad, your two grandchildren smiling sweetly for you.

First Slumber Party

These pics are from march, but you can tell how much the girls love each other

This past Saturday, Natalie had her first sleep over with her friend Georgia.  I have known Georgia's Mommy, Christine, since law school.  We were both pregnant with our daughters at the same time.  Natalie was born in January and Georgia the end of June on her Mother's 25th birthday.  Natalie and GG (as we all call her) get along famously.  They love to play dress up, chat, sing, dance, color. You name it, they do it together.  GG has a little brother Sam, who Natalie things is the best thing since sliced cheese, and as a result I keep getting asked for a brother. (Sorry kiddo, that won't be happening anytime in the distant future).  I dropped her off at 4:30 saturday afternoon, where they had dinner and an afternoon full of laughs.  I went home to rest since I had a kidney infection that pretty much took the wind out of my sails.  They were in bed by 8:00 pm but didn't fall asleep until 9:15 p.m.  Rick and I picked her up Sunday Morning on our way to church. Both girls were grins and giggle and Christine and her husband, Peter informed me that the girls had a blast.

I am thankful that I have wonderful friends like Christine and Peter, and that my daughter has a wonderful friend in GG.

I will post pictures when I get them. Until then...

Soccer goal or Fort?

Natalie was given a soccer goal so she could practice her skills and we could teach her her uncles favorite game.  However, Natalie had better ideas for the goal.  She thought it would be great to put it on a bed and make a fort out of it.  Definitely a great idea!  Here is the princess in her Goal/Fort!

She loves hiding behind pillows. See posts below for other pictures of Natalie hiding in pillows.
Getting Ready for a swim. Never feed Natalie Swedish Fish. Its like Crack or Red Bull for Kids. She was bouncing off the walls for hours after eating those little red candies.  It was entertainment that is for sure, but after a while all the hyperactivity was a little annoying.
What a fun little kids pool with all Natalie's favorite animals. Elephants and Frogs.

Lounging on her lobster float!
